So it came to that point where nearly everyday, somebody was asking me 'what's your company called?'. I was fed up of spending my evenings brainstorming animal collectives, Greek gods, the insides of a firework and every double-meaning I could think of, just to find the coolest and catchiest name.
I started to focus on what I wanted the company to do, to be known for, and that I should find a name that matches that. I always liked the phrase of 'riding an idea out', and, for anyone who has devising experience, this is what you do on a day-to-day basis.
Our work aims to be highly visual, and a wave is a beautiful visual representation of forward thinking, which is something else we aim to do. Like all good storytelling, a wave has its flow, it is our connection to something organic, and it is something that has always been there, and always will be. A wave is a magical, unstoppable force.
...and who doesn't like the seaside?
Ride The Wave it is.
(Although I'm still hoping Process:Collectiv, Herd&Scatter, Pigeon Siege or VacuumPackedChicken are still in with a chance. Any takers?)
